Access Infusion Care Announces Acquisition of Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties, Expanding Access to Patient-Centered Infusion Services in Rural, Underserved America
September 25, 2025, Gaylord, Mich. – Access Infusion Care today announced the acquisition of Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties (HCMIS), advancing its mission to deliver accessible, patient-centered infusion therapy in communities with limited access to specialty care across the United States. Access Infusion Care’s acquisition of Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties creates a strong partnership that unites complementary expertise and resources to broaden services and enhance the quality of infusion care.
Through the integration of HCMIS’s experienced team, established network, and statewide presence with Access’ support and resources, Access Infusion Care and HCMIS will strengthen their collective ability to serve providers, payers, and patients with streamlined care coordination, insurance navigation, and an expanded range of treatment options throughout Mississippi.
“This acquisition represents another important step in fulfilling our mission to expand access to high-quality infusion care in rural and underserved communities,” said Bruce Kutinsky, PharmD, CEO of Access Infusion Care. “As our first acquisition in the Southeast, it underscores our commitment to becoming the leading infusion provider in rural markets nationwide.”
Patients and providers can expect a seamless transition, with services continuing without interruption. With the addition of HCMIS to their family of companies, Access Infusion Care now operates three brands across six locations nationwide, including Specialty Infusion Centers in Gaylord, Marquette, and Traverse City, Mich.; and Big Sky IV Care in Kalispell and soon-to-open Helena, Mont., scheduled for October 1, 2025. HCMIS will maintain its name, location, and staff to ensure continuity of care.
“Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties has long been dedicated to reducing health disparities for patients facing significant barriers to infusion care through our comprehensive care team consisting of specialized infusion nurses, advanced practitioners and pharmacists, and ability to serve patients both in suites and in-home infusion services,” said Kristi Walker, COO, Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties. “In Mississippi, these barriers often include limited access to trained providers, transportation challenges, and financial constraints. By partnering with the team at Access and joining Access Infusion Care’s national network, we can expand infusion options, enhance patient support, and deliver trusted care to more people across the state, while retaining the autonomy and community-level presence that allowed us to be successful to date.”
